Notable Amazon Review(s)

The SWJ802E is light, easy to control and calm to use, rarely tosses too many chips at your face, cut well even when under the minimal control of being on a long stick, and cutting stuff thicker (or much thinner!) than recommended. Nice grippy bits, about as ergonomic to use as I could expect.

Minor issues:

• Power cord is weirdly loose. Even when not under any tension, falls out. I had to spread the prongs a bit to keep them grabbing. • Wish there was a place to store the wrench. Should be, plenty of tool available, and typical of good chainsaws. • The bar/chain oil fill cap is crazy tiny, and it has some small channels, so is very, very hard to fill without spilling. • The bar/chain oil tank is too opaque, unclear what the fill level is even though it is there to be visible, has marks and many warnings to check.

Mostly:

1) No bar/chain oil included. So, it's a simple box you buy online, get delivered, plug in and… cannot use. Every single two stroke device I have ever bought comes with a tiny bottle of oil. Every chainsaw comes with a starter bottle of bar oil. Not this. Failure.

2) Hard to assemble. They tried,… a bit. The chain is wire tied to the bar to get the orientation right. They have three (THREE) sets of instructions to get it assembled. But none of them tell you the one critical bit. And, mine came with the bar tension out of position. So, I randomly got it wedged into place, and it ran, but it wasn't good.

The right way to assemble is to make sure the pin sticking out of the adjustment screw channel is near the back of the tool. See the photo of the bar off the tool.

Check that this pin goes through the one circular hole in the bar below the slot. See photo of the bar in place, with the cover off. I am pointing at the pin you check. The other hole, on the other side of the slot, is for lubrication (I think) so nothing goes there.

Be sure to start tightening the bar tension now, so you are sure you go the right way and it all works. Then put the cover on, and tighten the bolt. Note (see last photo) that the screw holds the cover on, but it notches into several areas. If not seated as shown in the photo, then the bar isn't installed right.
