WG303.1

Description

The WORX WG303.1 16” 3.5 HP 14.5 Amp chainsaw is a cut above the rest. For starters, the exclusive WORX patented tool-free chain replacement and auto-tensioning system eliminates the headaches faced with most other chainsaws – no lumberjack experience necessary to operate this chainsaw!

The auto-tension system includes a single, oversized knob that automatically secures the bar and chain and maintains proper tension while you’re working. The auto-tensioning system also extends bar and chain life by eliminating any chance of over-tightening.

What's more, all-metal dogs at the base of the 16” bar help add stability during cutting, while an easy-to-lubricate sprocket on the bar nose helps preserve the life of the tool. Powerful enough for your toughest jobs, WORX electric chainsaws produce anywhere from 3.5 peak horsepower.

Notable Amazon Review(s)

Being in the tree business at one point in my life, I know a thing or two about chainsaws. I honestly never thought I'd see the day where I would use, much less own, an electric chainsaw. But I have to say, the WG303.1 is a beast for what it is. I've used gas saws that weighed twice as much and performed half as good. So… The Pros: -lightweight -plenty of power -aggressive chain -ergonomically easy to use -chain tensioning system works well -quiet (compared to gas) -no tip kick back -Much cleaner, quieter and less of a hassle compared to gas. The Cons -a cord can make things more challenging -the oversized chain adjuster knob will loosen by rolling itself against the wood when making tight cuts on that side. -uses way to much bar oil IMO. I get that the more lubrication the better but a little oil goes a long way. (old trade solution: use thicker oil) -because of the no kick tip, it also won't cut well at the tip. A good thing for safety. Not so good when you need the tip for carving a tight area. (but this does not apply to the average person so should be irrelevant.)
